Developmental Editing -This type of editing is typically done before a manuscript is submitted for publication. This service helps to shape the final story by offering feedback on content, organization and elements such as plot, character, setting, etc.

Copyediting - The focus of this service is on style, grammar and clarity. Depending on the document, Chicago or AP style is typically used. In-house style guides are also used when necessary.

Proofreading - This is typically the last stage before publication. This service reviews the manuscript for grammar, typos and inconsistencies.

Book Evaluation/Critique - This service provides honest and objective feedback by offering a broad overall assessment of your book's strengths and weaknesses. I will provide general suggestions for improvement. I will also advise whether your manuscript will benefit from editing, and if so, which type.

My Experience

 I have edited nonfiction and fiction books as well as business and technical documents such as letters, training courses and grant proposals. I am trained in AP and Chicago style, and I can use and create in-house style guides.
